Vintage Smucker's Wooded Crate End Watsonville, CA.

The J.M. Smucker's Company, founded in 1897 by Jerome Monroe Smucker in Orrville, Ohio, began with Smucker producing apple butter using local apples and selling it from a horse-drawn wagon. The company went public in 1959 and expanded production by 40% with a new plant in Salinas, California. In 1960, Smuckers became the nation's largest jam and jelly producer. In 2004, it announced the closure of three plants, including the Watsonville location, along with the elimination of 335 jobs to consolidate operations.

Measurements: The crate end measures 13 1/2 inches wide, 4 1/4 inches tall, and 5/8 inches thick.

Condition: The crate end is in good condition and shows inconsistencies with color inconsistencies with aging, white marks on the face, and dings show its antiquity. The wood has been cleaned and waxed.
