In the 1920's charming porcelain fixtures found their place in American homes. The trend lasted until the 1950's when more metallic designs became in vogue. It's easy to see why the porcelain light fixture trend lasted so long, the fixtures are durable, almost completely immune to decay, and ever so beautiful.
Measurements: The fixture measures 5 inches wide and 7 inches tall, not including the height of the bulb.
Condition: The fixture features a new pull chain porcelain socket, wires, wire sheathing, mounting bracket, nickel thumb nuts, 60-watt squirrel cage light bulb and mounting hardware. The fixture is vintage and is showing its antiquity with superficial flea bites and chips on the fitter lip of the opal glass shade as well as flea bites, blemishes, and inconsistencies in the enameled porcelain finish. The new wiring to the plug has been bypassed.
Electrical: Suitable for dry location. Us 60-watt bulb.
