In the 1920s charming porcelain fixtures found their place in American homes. The trend lasted until the 1950's when more metallic designs became in vogue. It's easy to see why the porcelain light fixture trend lasted so long, the fixtures are durable, almost completely immune to decay, and ever so beautiful.
Measurements: The fixture measures 6 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches wide and protrudes 8 1/2 inches from the wall.
Condition: The vintage porcelain sconce features a new porcelain pull chain socket, wires, wire sheathing, mounting bracket, nickel thumb screws, nickel finial, threaded rod, and installation hardware. The plug has been bypassed to reflect today's code requirements. The sconce is in good vintage condition and is showing its antiquity with minor inconsistencies in the glazed porcelain finish and opal glass shade.
Electrical: The fixture uses a standard medium base socket. Use 60-watt bulb. The bulb is not included. Suitable for dry locations.
