Enameled glass fixtures were a popular lighting option in the 1950s and 1960s. These fixtures were often used in kitchens, bathrooms, and other utility areas of the home. These shades were commonly made of thick, clear glass coated with a layer of enamel, which gave it a durable, milk-glass-looking finish on the selected bands.
The vintage light fixture has numerous new parts added to restore the piece. The fixture has been cleaned and detailed for your convenience.
Measurements: The fixture measures 8 1/2 inches square and 4 inches tall.
Condition: The vintage fixture features new porcelain sockets, wires, mounting bracket, 1/8 ip threaded rod, nickel check rings, finial, and installation hardware. The fixture shows its antiquity with minor inconsistencies, including scratches in the aluminum pan and a small nick in the thick glass shade. The fixture's original mounting configuration used the pan to secure it to the box. We opted to add a mounting bracket to secure its weight better than just the pan alone.
Electrical: The fixture has two standard medium base sockets. Use 60-watt bulbs. Bulbs are not included. Suitable for dry locations.
