Post-War Era Chain Ceiling Light Vintage Glass New Custom Fixture

$ 219.99

The semi-flush triple-beaded chain ceiling light fixture emerged in its earliest iterations in the 1920s through the 1940s. These beaded chain fixtures featured bold patterns and almost always had enameled finishes in pinks, blues, greens, whites, bisque colors, or etched clear glass. The trend continued into the 1960s, except these beaded fixtures featured lighter, less imposing glass and silk screen enamel, which coincided with The Open and Airy trends of the time.

The fixture features a custom-made powder-coated fixture. The shade has a silk-screened enamel finish with a floral pattern. The light fixture has been cleaned and detailed. It includes mounting hardware for convenient installation.

Measurements: The fixture measures 11 7/8 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The height can be adjusted by setting the ball length on the ceiling side of the chain and then snipping off the excess beaded chain.

Condition: The fixture features a new porcelain socket, wires, wire grommet, mounting bracket, nickel thumb nuts, nickel beaded chain, pure white powder-coated finish, and installation hardware. The vintage glass is in good condition and shows its antiquity with minor inconsistencies, including some minor pinholes in the enameled finish of the shade.

Electrical: The fixture uses a standard medium base bulb, a 60-watt bulb, suitable for dry locations. The light fixture is custom and, therefore, is not U.L. Listed.
