This is a genuine period fixture — not a reproduction. The pressed-glass shade dates to the 1930s and carries the geometric starburst pattern that defined American Art Deco lighting at its peak. The base and fitter are custom-made, powder-coated in gloss white, and while the components weren't originally married to one another, the marriage works. The overall effect is period-correct and immediately convincing.

Switch it on and it earns its place twice over. The frosted glass diffuses light into a warm, even wash across the room. From below, the geometric bas-relief catches the glow and throws quiet shadow patterns that no contemporary fitting can replicate.
